New service for our main photographic agency

SmugMug New service for our main photographic agency

Core Photography, which launched their online service just a year ago will be making a move to the Smugmug network as part of improvements to their service.
"The decision was made to change our online management providers as we weren't 100% happy with what we were offering and how we were being viewed. Although we will lose some of the services we had, we will be offering more flexibility and an even better viewing experience, making it easier to make a purchase or order a print or download," explained Stephen Ignacio one of the team members.
During the next two weeks Core Photography's images can be viewed from http://corephotographygibraltar.smugmug.com, this will eventually change to our own domain name, corephotographygibraltar.com.

We hope you will enjoy the experience.

The arrival of the New Age traveller?

Any normal keen observer will have noticed the increase in new members in the street sleeping begging community.
In recent weeks we have seen signs such as "we have no money to travel".
On Boxing Day visitors saw a new scene by the lobby of the Gibraltar Parliament.

Bubble blowers and whisky drinkers adorned the very front of the Parliament.

Soon to be removed by the local bobbies. The question remains, is this a trend of New Age travellers? Or is it just a trend of packers coming to find the easy pickings of a community who give.
Facebook social groups have seen much debate over appeals to provide for these groups who arrive but do not seem too quick in deciding to depart.
Sleeping rough in their sleeping bags, with their bottles next to them and their backpacks to their side.
Many have seen the generosity of the community provide them with free food and money to purchase their small luxuries, in some cases obsession for alcohol.
The question remains, how did they arrive? Setting off on their travels many with unknown destinations, they travel from town to town. No fixed destination, no prospect of considerations towards employment. They seek their next destination based on finding generosity and tolerance, before setting off towards their next town searching for the same but having provided little of value to their previous givers except for their presence.
One wonders where the notion of New Age traveller changed to treat or trick.

Gibraltar – 3rd December 2014 – Gibraltar Government Minister Steven Linares today officially handed over to the Director of the Emergency Contingency Plan unit, Leslie Edmonds the keys of the newly acquired inter-agency Command Support Unit vehicle at the Royal Gibraltar Police Rosia Compound in Gibraltar.

The vehicle, which will act as a key control centre in major incidents is the latest acquisitions as a new contingency emergency plan is introduced by the Government. The inter-agency vehicle, run primarily by the Royal Gibraltar Police, will see the mobile unit bringing ground command control between emergency services together. Fully equipped, with satellite links, thermal imaging cameras, control and radio facilities the vehicle is expected to act as the main mobile unit deployed to major incidents.

The unveiling of the vehicle took place just hours before a planned live aircraft disaster exercise which will see the vehicle tested in real live conditions for the first time. The unit is among the key areas of assessment in the exercise.
